Scope was limited to furniture, fixtures, equipment, and interior finishes for this renovation a brick and concrete industrial building in the heart of LA's Skid Row.

Serving clients whose homes are the neighboring sidewalks, the principal challenge of interior design was one of durability and both staff and client security.

The limited budget required combining acoustic interventions with exposed structure and mechanical systems.  Given the absence of natural lighting, the tonal solution focused on employing a light-vibrant white background in combination with accent colors in panels, art, and furnishings.

This unusual spatial brightness for a County service facility - evident day and night from the sidewalk - conveyed a fundamental respect for the Clinic's clients.
